LIGHTHOUSE MINDSHIFT COACHING

More about me:
Dreams Need Directions
If there is one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s that potential is everywhere, but a clear path is rare. I founded Lighthouse Mindshift because I’ve always been drawn to the "human" side of results. Whether it’s an individual looking for a spark or a business aiming for the next level, the engine is always the same: people. My passion isn't just a word—it’s the fuel for everything I do. We’ve all heard that "knowledge is power," but I believe clarity is power. Having a dream is the first step, but without a goal, a dream is just a destination without a map.

My Story:
My journey and passion to help people started when I was very young. I grew up in South Africa in a town called Bethlehem. I grew up in a single home, and I'm one of 4 children. In my story, there is a lot of pain, wounds, sadness, brokenness, and lots of scars, but I’m grateful for my story because it made me who I am today. It’s how I became the best version of me. Striving, changing, growing, and also learning. I didn’t have life easy growing up, but I’m grateful for it because it motivated me to set goals for myself and achieve them. In my journey, I was fortunate to have mentors who acted as my "lighthouse"—steady figures who provided light when the path felt foggy. They didn't do the work for me, but they showed me where the rocks were and where the open water lay, and that is why I decided to go into coaching, because I believe everyone has the potential to achieve their dreams, no matter the circumstances; you just need someone to walk that path with you. I'm also a husband and dad, and what motivates me is my love for my family and my love and passion for people.
Now, I’ve made it my life’s work to be that beacon for you. I’m here to help you shift your mindset, sharpen your focus, and finally reach the goals that have felt "just out of reach."

Story behind the name Lighthouse Mindshift:
Many businesses don't share the story behind their name, but if you're like me, you want to know the "why" behind the name. I want to share mine with you.
The name Lighthouse Mindshift holds a very special place in my heart. It’s not just a name; it’s part of who I am today and why I do what I do. When I finished my studies in 2025 to become a life and business coach, I struggled to find a name. Every idea I had was already taken. Eventually, I sat down, looked back at my life journey, and asked myself, "How did I get here?"
I thought about every person who had a positive impact on my life—the people who showed me the light when I needed it most. That’s when "Lighthouse" came to mind. Then, I remembered a low point in my life when I battled depression and felt like giving up. During that time, I discovered a podcast called Mindshift that changed everything for me. It helped me realize that my life has value and a purpose.
That is how Lighthouse Mindshift was born. It is a reminder of all the battles I have overcome. Now, I am dedicated to using my skills and experiences to help individuals and businesses achieve their dreams, reminding them that they, too, have immense value and purpose.
EDUCATION AND
WORK EXPERIENCE
My journey is a testament to the belief that where you start doesn't define where you can go. Like most of you, I didn’t have the opportunity to finish my school degree and go to university early on because I was left with the decision to either finish school or help take care of my family, and the man that I am, I chose my family. But despite not following a traditional academic path early on, I have spent years cultivating a "master’s degree" in real-world experience across a diverse range of industries. From the high-pressure environments of the restaurant industry—where I rose from a waiter to hold manager positions—to the precision required as a foreman in construction, I’ve learned exactly what it takes to lead teams, manage complex operations, and drive results. My background in sales and marketing sharpened my ability to connect with people, while my years as a sports coach for rugby, cricket, athletics, and swimming taught me the art of discipline and mentorship.
In 2025, I bridged this practical expertise with formal academic achievement, earning my university degree in life, executive, and business coaching, alongside my degree in plumbing that I earned in 2017. These qualifications are the lens through which I now view my varied history—including the patience and adaptability I gained as a stay-at-home dad. Today, I combine these years of grit, leadership, and diverse life experience to help others navigate their own transitions, ensuring that every client has the tools to rewrite their story and illuminate a new path forward.
2017
Plumbing Degree
Monster Plumbing
My education was more than just learning how to fix a leak; it was a deep dive into mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, and public health. I transitioned from understanding basic pipe fittings to mastering complex systems that keep modern and old buildings functional and safe. During my studies, I hit several critical benchmarks that define a professional plumber:

My executive and business coaching studies provided a rigorous foundation in coaching as a professional discipline, anchored by a deep commitment to the ethics of coaching. The journey began with a process of assessing myself as a coach and mapping a personalised coaching model, which served as the blueprint for creating my brand as a coach.
Throughout the programme, I mastered planning the coaching process with precision—navigating seamlessly from the initial phase of coaching through to the following phase and into the final phase of coaching. By consistently building my coaching toolkit and refining self-management techniques, I ensured I was fully prepared for providing support during the action phase of coaching.
This practical expertise was validated through consistent activity submissions and participation grading, including bi-weekly coaching sessions with a partner to apply tools in real-time. The process concluded with a powerful closure of the coaching relationship and a dedicated period of reflecting on my development and growth as a coach, ensuring a trajectory of continuous professional excellence.
